On June 12, the Auditorium of the Rizzi Library at the University of Udine will host FOODIS, the cross-border event connecting companies and experts from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Carinthia, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness in the agrifood sector.

Designed as a networking opportunity, the event aims to bring together Agrifood companies with experts in digital and sustainable innovation. The goal is to foster a concrete exchange of needs and expertise, to identify innovative solutions and launch shared paths of transformation and digitalization.

QUIN and QGS will take part in the event as innovation experts, bringing their experience to support agrifood companies in transforming their processes, improving performance, and adopting advanced digital solutions to tackle market challenges.

The event program includes an introductory session presenting the FOODIS project and network, followed by one-on-one meetings between companies and professionals to explore needs, goals, and real opportunities for collaboration.

The FOODIS project

Co-funded by the European Union – Interreg Italy-Austria Program 2021–2027, the FOODIS project was created to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of food systems in the cross-border area between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Carinthia, in response to the challenges posed by climate change and geopolitical events.
The goal is to enhance companies’ ability to absorb innovation and integrate circular processes within the food sector’s value chains.

By creating a shared cross-border ecosystem, the project provides skills, services, and opportunities through an integrated approach, leveraging the complementarity of infrastructures and know-how between the two regions.
Activities include mapping needs and opportunities, establishing a network of experts in food and sustainable logistics, developing pilot actions and reference models for sustainability, and producing guidelines to steer policies and investments toward the circular economy.
