Co-founders Fabio Valgimigli and Germano Fogolin retain majority control and direct governance of the Group

PRESS RELEASE
Trieste, January 20, 2026 – Friulia announced today that it has acquired a stake in Quin, an Italian group providing strategic and execution-focused consulting and technology solutions for industrial companies. The investment supports Quin’s medium- to long-term growth plan, aimed at advancing industrial consolidation and strengthening the Group’s competitive positioning.
Friulia’s entry is part of a broader development path intended to reinforce Quin’s capital base and support its strategic evolution, while preserving the entrepreneurial approach that has guided the Group since its inception.
The transaction also confirms the central role of Quin’s co-founders, Fabio Valgimigli and Germano Fogolin, who retain firm and direct governance of the Group’s companies. The new ownership structure pairs the founders’ leadership with a local institutional partner to support future development initiatives focused on expanding Quin’s presence in Italy and internationally, while maintaining strong roots in Friuli Venezia Giulia, which remains the Group’s strategic, managerial, and decision-making hub.
As part of the transaction, Equinox and entrepreneur Stefano Bertoli have completed their investment in Quin. Over the years, Equinox supported a significant phase of the company’s growth, contributing to the Group’s industrial and organizational expansion, including Quin’s 2022 acquisition of 100% of QGS, now an integral part of the Quin Group. The exit reflects the natural evolution of the investment following the completion of a value creation journey.
Andrea Bovone, Partner at Equinox, and entrepreneur Stefano Bertoli commented: “We are very pleased with the growth Quin has achieved over the past years. We believe the conditions are in place for the Group to continue on an additional development path under the leadership of the current management team.”
The Quin Group is among Italy’s leading players in its segment and currently includes approximately 140 employees and collaborators, four offices in Italy (Udine, Milan, Cesena, and Florence), and total revenues of €17 million.
Founded in 2011, Quin works alongside industrial companies on organizational, digital, and technological innovation initiatives, through an integrated approach that combines consulting expertise, advanced software solutions, and data analytics and decision intelligence systems.
Federica Seganti, President of Friulia, said: “Friulia’s investment in Quin is fully aligned with our mission to support regional companies with solid fundamentals and clear growth plans. Quin is a strong example of regional excellence with the ability to compete nationally, backed by a clear focus on innovation and industrial development. Through this investment, we intend to support the Group as it delivers on its medium- to long-term growth plan, ensuring continuity in governance while reinforcing the founders’ entrepreneurial vision.”
“This new ownership structure strengthens the foundations on which Quin has built its growth,” said Fabio Valgimigli, Chief Executive Officer. “Friulia’s entry as a financial partner, together with the founders’ majority control, ensures continuity in the company’s industrial vision and supports a plan that, over the next three years, will significantly expand our portfolio of services and innovative solutions for businesses, while further increasing Group revenue through organic growth and targeted M&A.”
