MADE 2025 Call: up to €200,000 for digitalization projects

The MADE 2025 Call, part of Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), is an initiative designed to support the digitalization and sustainable transformation of Italian companies. Promoted by the MADE Competence Center, the call provides non-repayable grants through a “cascade” procedure for projects in digital innovation, industrial research, experimental development, and feasibility studies.

Who can apply for the MADE 2025 Call?

  • Micro-enterprises and startups
  • SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises)
  • Medium and large enterprises
  • Consortia made up of companies of different sizes established as a Temporary Purpose Association (ATS)

Foreign companies with a secondary office in Italy established before the project start date are also eligible.

Eligible projects under the MADE 2025 Call

Projects must focus on:

  • Industrial research: improving products, processes, or services.
  • Experimental development: creating prototypes or innovative testing.
  • Feasibility studies: preliminary analyses for new projects.

Priority areas of intervention for evaluation purposes

  • Industrial cybersecurity
  • Production digitalization
  • Sustainability and circular economy
  • Collaborative robotics and IoT

Financial benefits of the MADE 2025 Call

The call provides non-repayable grants of up to €200,000 per project and up to €400,000 per company.

Specifically, for industrial research and feasibility studies:

  • Small enterprises: up to 70% of eligible expenses.
  • Medium enterprises: up to 60% of eligible expenses.
  • Large enterprises: up to 50% of eligible expenses.

For experimental development projects:

  • Small enterprises: up to 45% of eligible expenses.
  • Medium enterprises: up to 35% of eligible expenses.
  • Large enterprises: up to 25% of eligible expenses.

Participation and funding procedures

Applications must be submitted exclusively online through the PICA platform, from January 15, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

For the application to be eligible, it must include:

  • A detailed project description.
  • Supporting documents for the eligibility declaration.
  • The partnership agreement in the case of multi-company projects.

Funding is granted, subject to application approval, in the order of submission, following a “cascade” procedure until funds are exhausted.

The outcome of the application will be notified within 45 days of submission via certified email (PEC).
