Optimizing the supply chain with Demand Driven MRP: the F.lli Mauri transformation project with Quin

In an industrial landscape marked by growing complexity, demand variability, and increasingly high customer expectations, F.lli Mauri has chosen QUIN as its partner to launch a major innovation project in material requirements planning. Developed with the support of the MADE Competence Center, the initiative represents a decisive step toward a more efficient and flexible production model.

The project stems from the need to radically rethink material planning processes, increasingly challenged by demand volatility and shorter product life cycles. To address these challenges, a new operating model based on the Demand Driven MRP (DDMRP) methodology was introduced, improving inventory management and responsiveness to market dynamics.

The implementation also involved the to-be modeling of planning processes, the assessment of impacts on stock levels and customer service performance, and the design of a more robust system for scheduling production resources.

The goals were clear: to optimize resource utilization, reduce inventory costs, and at the same time ensure operational continuity, service reliability, and more accurate delivery times. These achievements have enabled F.lli Mauri to enhance the efficiency and resilience of its supply chain, strengthen competitiveness, and lay the foundation for sustainable international growth.
